Delinquency Notices and Help Needed
As many are aware, the previous Treasurer, Bob McKeldin, retired in December 2023 after serving the WWCA for over 40 years. In light of his retirement, the Board Members have reviewed the file of records left by Bob, which included information on delinquencies up to 2023. During this review, it became apparent that there were some administrative oversights, and unfortunately, notices for late payments may not have been properly sent. Additionally, when the records were transferred to the payment management processor, Victory Management, the unpaid assessments up to 2023 were not fully accounted for. This means that residents who may have accidentally missed a payment previously may not have received notices when services commenced with Victory Management.
Timely payments are essential for the financial health and upkeep of the community. The WWCA encompasses private roads (indicated by blue street signs), wooded areas, and open grassy spaces and playgrounds, all of which require regular maintenance. Ensuring prompt payments allows for effective management of these resources, fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for all residents.
The Board understands that receiving an unexpected bill is never pleasant. The WWCA Board is committed to working with residents to resolve this matter as smoothly as possible to ensure the financial viability of the community. If anyone receives a late payment notice, they are encouraged to reach out via email@wwcaonline.org to discuss their situation.
Furthermore, the recent retirement of several dedicated Board members, who served the community for many years, has created a need for additional support. The Board expresses deep gratitude for their invaluable contributions and is now calling on interested residents to volunteer for the open board seats. Your participation is crucial as the Board prepares the budget for the coming year and makes important decisions that will affect all residents.
Thank you for your attention and continued support of the WWCA.
